Exploring Central Texas

Monday, January 25, 2016

This past weekend we ventured out to explore a little bit of Central Texas. Initially we were going to check out an antique show in the little town of Round Top but the show ended up being smaller than we expected, so we hopped from barn to barn to enjoy the little shops this town had to offer.

This red barn was one of my favorite shops! I will definitely come back once we buy a home. They offer large scale furniture, everything is so adorable; it remind me a little of the type of furniture Anthropologie sells.

Per our friend's suggestion, we ended up driving to Gruene (pronounced Green) for lunch and more shopping, stopping on the way to check out some longhorns up close. It was kind of a big deal for me (nerdy, I know...) since we recently moved to Texas so I've never seen one up close. They are so beautiful!

Weekends are comfy time for me, so I always make sure that I wear clothing that allows me to run around but still look somewhat put together. I love my Citizens of Humanity Avedon jeans. They are so soft and comfortable, almost like wearing leggings. I paired them with a Madewell Cargo shirt, booties and my Loeffler Randall Industry bag that fits SO MUCH. Similar items linked above.

On our way home, I had to stop and take a picture of the Guadalupe River. The color of the water was so beautiful! I can't imagine what it will look like during Spring once the surroundings are all green. I'll have to come back for sure!

XoXo,
N .
