Nicole Sometimes: January 2017

My very first post of 2017, I'm excited! I decided to start with something that has been in constant rotation in my closet: cropped denim...I'm sure you've seen it all over fashion week, Pinterest and your favorite celebs. I started noticing in late summer 2016 but I wasn't sure I could pull it off. I decided to give it a try and these lovely little pair has become my go to ever since.

Austin is a little wild right now; we are having super cold days worthy of the chunkiest sweater, and we are also having hot summer-like weeks. It's confusing. What I love about these jeans is that you can wear them with anything, they look equally good with flats or heels or with a wide sweater or tucked-in shirt.

For this cold windy day I paired them with my warm cozy Madewell sweater and red heels. The jeans do have a higher rise which makes them incredibly comfortable and perfect for this cropped sweater.
