My Travel Essentials

Traveling is by far my favorite activity. It does not matter if I'm just going up to Dallas for the weekend or a big European adventure. These past couple years Carlos and I have been very lucky to travel more than we ever had; and with that experience comes a list of my favorite items I always bring with me. I created this kit over a period of a couple years {it gets expensive!}. But much like everything else, if you invest in quality your pieces will last forever.

Cashmere Scarf - I bought a large cashmere wrap in Paris during our honeymoon and have been bringing it to every trip ever since. It's warm, slim and chic. Mine is a dark blue but I really want a soft gray one, the one by White + Warren {linked above} has been on my wishlist for about 3 years now, I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger just yet.

Cuyana Travel Cases - Love these so much I own two sets. A soft yellow one I keep in my bathroom for my make-up and a blush set I use for travel. The bags are a very generous size that allows me to get all my essentials in.

Tumi Backpack - This was a gift from my husband last Christmas. He owns one we purchased for him when he got his latest promotion {he wears it to death!}. He noticed me looking at them every time we were at the airport. It is an investment but makes travel so easy. Protects my laptop, fits all of my essentials and my favorite feature, it attaches to the top of my luggage. No need to carry it on my shoulders!

Bose Headphones - I need my music, movies and distraction. These are perfect for travel and come with the nicest case.

Cuyana Luggage Tag - Always thought I did not need one until the plane is full and my bag has to go under {hate when that happens}. Then I  had to scramble to find a paper one to identify my case. This tag is timeless and functional.

Cuyana Travel Wallet - Must have. I always bring printed copies all of my hotel and itineraries This holds my passport, credit cards, paperwork and boarding passes. My TUMI backpack is actually navy so I got the wallet in navy to match.

Cuyana Travel Jewelry Box - I just got this last week! I've been wanting a nice travel case for my jewelry for the longest time. This is small enough to fit in my backpack but large enough to hold everything I need. Got it monogrammed in gold foil and in blush to match my cases. I'm so excited to take it on a trip!

Victorinox Spectra Carry-On - The most important piece of the pie. This carry on fits so much, has plenty of compartments to organize things and it's incredibly sturdy. I've owned this one for about 4 years and still looks amazing and everything about it functions to perfection.

Hope you found my list useful, what are some of the items you MUST bring when you travel?

xx, Nicole

  7. Love that bookbag, I've been wanting a good one for a while now. I mean I have a Northface one but I want one that's a little more fashionable. I ALWAYS travel with my Bose Q3s! Probably the best gift my husband ever insisted I have (He's had them for years but he travels a lot more than I do)
