Printed Red Silk Dress

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

You might remember this dress and boots from my Fall Wishlist I did a few posts back, I finally pulled the trigger while online shopping and couldn't be happier. The dress is so comfortable and I can pair it with so many things!

Carlos and I usually do very casual dates, this is the kind of outfit I would wear, an easy dress, cute booties or flats, a nice bag a great lipstick, this is one of my favorite dark red shades from Clinique.

This is my first pair of Billy Boots and they are everything everyone said they would be, so very comfortable! I love the heel and color, they will be in constant rotation during Fall and Winter for sure.

Adidas Stan Smith + Perfect Mini Backpack

Monday, August 22, 2016

 I have owned my current white sneakers {Converse} for about 4 years now. I wash them religiously  in an effort to keep them nice and sharp. All that washing and regular use started to turn them yellow and I found myself searching online for my next pair.
That's when I came across the lovely Adidas Stan Smith. I first spotted them on super stylish Victoria Beckham but did not dare to look them up because I figured they would be a gazillion dollars...but after a quick Google search I found  out they were under $75.00 bucks. Off to Nordstrom I went!
What I love about white sneakers is that you can pair them up with pretty much anything, dresses, skirts, jeans, sweats, etc! They are super comfortable and easy to clean.
For this outfit,  I paired them with a comfortable black jersey dress and my trusted Longchamp Le Pliage Backpack. This little bag is dear to my heart, my husband bought it for me at their flagship store in Paris during our honeymoon as he was worried my leather tote bag did not have a way to close at the top. How considerate is that?!

Paisley Printed Scarf

Monday, March 21, 2016

 It is officially Spring! It is one of my favorite seasons, I firmly believe stores put out the best collections during Spring and Fall so I'm always excited to see everyone's take on warmer weather.

We had a bit of a cold weekend in Austin. It was chilly enough for a sweater and scarf but not necessarily a jacket. I got this Paisley Printed scarf at Madewell on Friday and I've been wearing it non-stop. I paired it with a darker outfit for a luncheon on Saturday and I'm also wearing it here with a taupe linen sweater and destroyed jeans. I can already tell it's my new favorite.

I love pairing destroyed boyfriend jeans with heels. It makes the outfit look more put together without being too serious.

Scarf - Madewell
Sweater - JCrew {similar}
Jeans - Nordstrom {similar}
Bag - Chloe
Earrings - Shop Bop
Lip Gloss - Clinique
Sunglasses - Aldo {similar}

And of course, accessories play a big part to complete the look. I love my heart shaped sunglasses and Chloe Mini-Marcie bag.

Hope you are having a great start to your week!

5 Amazing Bright Pink Lipsticks

Friday, February 26, 2016

Lipstick and lip gloss are my absolute favorite make up products. Most likely because I cannot, for the life of me, do eye shadows correctly. So I stick with a simple foundation, mascara and liner combo and have fun with my blush and lip colors.

I've always been into orangy-reds, but recently discovered a Clinique shade that I feel works well with my tone and hair color. My skin undertones are very pink so I always have to be careful, but this color is amazing for Spring. Check below for bright pink lipstick shades I'm loving this season including the one I'm wearing.

1. Clinique Long Last Matte in Magenta This is the one I'm wearing. Very soft and not dry at all.

2. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Lollipop I must own at least 5 of these. I keep them everywhere! It's like chapstick but bit a little bit of color.

3. Nars Lipstick in Yu I own this lipstick in a different shade and I love how the pencil makes it so easy to apply and get it perfect every time.

4. Milani Color Statement Lipstick in 11 Fruit Punch Have you tried Milani lip colors? If not, you totally should. I purchased one at Target our of curiosity and turns out these lipsticks are so amazingly pigmented. The shades are also super pretty!

5. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Never Say Never {phew! that was a long name!} I love Bare Minerals make up and this lipstick is wonderful, super moist and feels like you're not wearing anything at all.

Top is from the new Spring Gap collection and you can get it here. Made out of Tencel Chambray material,  it is so incredibly soft. Sunglasses are from Nordstrom.

I'm traveling this week to Monterrey, Mexico for my brother's masters graduation (I'm so proud!). So excited for a little getaway.

Happy Friday!
