Cami // Skirt {similar} // Sunglasses // Bag

Today is #NationalStripesDay, if you are anything like me then you must love fake Instagram holidays as well..an entire day dedicated to stripes, margaritas, donuts? Yes please! As an avid stripe-wearer {is that even a word? haha} and lover of anything J Crew -the apparent creator of this new IG holiday- I decided to honor's today holiday with one of my favorite skirts and links to five items featuring the print that I'm currently loving. This is a Forever 21 skirt I got two years ago, it has this amazing linen look, washes well and goes with so many of my tops. I paired it here with a new cami I just got for summer and my pink sunglasses I'm so very obsessed with. Other favorite stripes pieces right now include this tote, dress, skirt and pajamas.

Classic Printed Dress

Dress // Bag // Sunglasses // Earrings 

The first weekend of SXSW is over and sadly I didn't do as much as I wanted to. There's a couple things on my calendar for this coming week so I'm glad I'll have the opportunity to meet more people before the festival is over {it's my favorite part!}. I just hope it warms up a bit more. It was cloudy, cold and rainy this weekend so I haven't been able to wear some of the new pieces I got lately, like this adorable Old Navy dress...isn't this print beautiful? I paired it here with my Jade Tribe bag -minus the pom noms- and these fun Forever 21 sunglasses I got for less than $8.00. I would wear it to the office with a cardigan over it, the length is perfect! More pieces of my Old Navy haul coming soon, they have SO much good stuff right now.

Striped Casual Dress

Pintrest is an amazing source of inspiration and ideas, I am obsessed with it as much as anyone else, except sometimes I take it to the next level and actually screen shot things that I LOVE {after saving them to my boards}. I'm not sure why I actually do this, maybe I'm secretly hoping whatever it is that screen-shot-ed (?) will magically appear in my closet/home/make up bag.

This little dress from Clad & Cloth is one of those things I saved and kept on my phone for months! The dress was sold out but I kept checking back from time to time to see if anything else would catch my eye. About two weeks ago they finally re-stocked this oversized dress and I ordered it as soon as I saw it. 

 This fab little is oversized, comfortable, perfect length, thick fabric and it has pockets! The perfect fall piece to wear to work and weekends.

White Denim Shorts & Eyelet Lace

 After spending the day at the beach we head to our rooms to shower and get ready for dinner. We had visited downtown the night before and wanted to go back for dinner, drinks and some walking. I decided on a more casual look with my adored Star Mela bag I purchased for this trip.

Whenever I book a getaway I always start thinking almost immediately of the looks I want to wear while on vacation. I knew I wanted some bright colors, embroidery and tassels/pom poms to add color to my outfits. I discovered Star Mela on ShopBop while shopping for sunglasses. I fell in love with this little bag and all of the details and of course had to buy it.

These shorts are about 4 years old and they always come out during warmer months. I paired them here with my new eyelet top for a classic all-white look perfect for the beach.

The top is very roomy and comfortable. I wore a white bikini top for this occasion but I can definitely make this piece office-appropriate by wearing a nude cami under it and a nice skirt.

Shift Linen Dress

Happy Monday! Is yet another rainy spring day in Austin today but I'm loving it. I went for a linen shift dress {as if it wasn't obvious per the wrinkles} with leopard print heels and my adored Speedy 30.

This was my very first designer bag, the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. I first spotted it on Audrey Hepburn when I was in college and have been obsessed with it ever since. I finally decided to gift it to myself a couple years ago for my birthday...it was such an exciting day! It is the perfect size for traveling and everyday, it fits SO much:  from iPad to cosmetics bag, scarf and even a water bottle. Definitely a great purchase!

I was shopping online at Forever 21 the other night {really, the only way to shop at that store} for an upcoming trip and I came across this lovely linen shift dress. I thought it would be perfect for every day with heels or sandals. I'm loving it! I love the tie details on the shoulder and the double lined skirt. I know I'll be reaching for it often.

I'm also obsessed this trend of the half down/half knot hair. If it cuts my blow drying time in half, sign me up!

Off The Shoulder Dress

This cute little dress has two things I love: classic stripes and that trendy off-the-shoulder neckline. I spotted it at Zara during my lunch break {I often go shopping during lunch, makes my day go faster!} and I knew it would be perfect for date night. Dinner, drinks and a movie here I come!

The simple easy color and shape of the dress inspired me to do a very clean look,  I paired it with minimal accessories, my pearl earrings and Forever 21 sunglasses {Karen Walker dupes!}.

More often than not I'll wear flats or sandals to date night since we usually do pretty casual stuff. If we are going somewhere fancier I'll do a heel or wedge, but for this day I wore my GAP flats in my absolute favorite color.

And my big Madewell bag because Austin weather is crazy and it can get cold in 15 minutes, so I always need to carry a cardigan with me. I know, I'm such an old lady.

5 Amazing Bright Pink Lipsticks

Lipstick and lip gloss are my absolute favorite make up products. Most likely because I cannot, for the life of me, do eye shadows correctly. So I stick with a simple foundation, mascara and liner combo and have fun with my blush and lip colors.

I've always been into orangy-reds, but recently discovered a Clinique shade that I feel works well with my tone and hair color. My skin undertones are very pink so I always have to be careful, but this color is amazing for Spring. Check below for bright pink lipstick shades I'm loving this season including the one I'm wearing.

1. Clinique Long Last Matte in Magenta This is the one I'm wearing. Very soft and not dry at all.

2. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Lollipop I must own at least 5 of these. I keep them everywhere! It's like chapstick but bit a little bit of color.

3. Nars Lipstick in Yu I own this lipstick in a different shade and I love how the pencil makes it so easy to apply and get it perfect every time.

4. Milani Color Statement Lipstick in 11 Fruit Punch Have you tried Milani lip colors? If not, you totally should. I purchased one at Target our of curiosity and turns out these lipsticks are so amazingly pigmented. The shades are also super pretty!

5. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Never Say Never {phew! that was a long name!} I love Bare Minerals make up and this lipstick is wonderful, super moist and feels like you're not wearing anything at all.

I'm traveling this week to Monterrey, Mexico for my brother's masters graduation (I'm so proud!). So excited for a little getaway.

Accessories are the way to go when you want to add a pop of color to your outfit, I especially love neon ones.

I love this silk J Crew top, it goes with everything, I've even worn it as a swimsuit cover up! The earrings are from Forever 21 from a million years ago, I love how bright yet understated they are.

Bright belts are another god option for giving your outfit more personality, this yellow one from Anthropologie looks great on white dresses or chambray skirts.
